I have written music and been a musician for over 10 years. I have played in different bands trough the years, all from blues to rock. My main instrument is guitar, but I also play the piano and bass. When it comes to write music, I prefer to write hit-sounding melodic rock and metal, but also pop/dance and boy band style. So how do I do it? Well… It often start with a cool riff I play on the guitar or something on the keyboard, that I find cool. Then I try to angle it to the project I work on, so it makes sense and sounds smooth. Then I give the song the shape and sound I want it to have. When I write and produce music the hook-line and energy (feeling) is very important for me. The equipment and program I use in my studio are: Logic 9, Nexus, EZ drums, addictive drum Mac G5, apogee duet, Line 6 pod pro, tube ultragain preamp, C-1 and red NT microphone, engl screamer and Marshall JCM 800 guitar amps.
