Mickey Huskic

mickey-huskic600My name is Mickey Huskic and I am the latest addition at Roasting House (STUDIO 8.) I’m a songwriter, producer and an artist. I started out as a guitarist and lead vocalist back in 1998 where I played with several rock bands. My latest band “The Unforgiven Sin” dissolved 2009 when I decided to move to Malmoe, Southern Sweden to join forces with RoastingHouse.

In 2002 I studied Music Production at University of Växjö and since then I have been working professionally with music production and songwriting. It was in 2002 when I wrote my first hit “Oprosti mi” a song that kept ex Yugoslavian artist Almir Ajanovic at No 1 in the charts for 8 weeks. Since then I have managed to place songs in commercial films like “YMCA Summer Camp” and “Volvo Penta” as well as couple of short films.

My biggest cut though is Swedish Eurovision semifinals 2008 where I managed to place the ballad “Izdajice / Never Fall In Love” that I performed live at Cloetta Center / Swedish Television in front of 3 million viewers. The album sold over 260 000 copies or six times platinum in Sweden.

Some other artists I have worked with are Zed is Dead, Monica Hoffman and Anders Wrethov.
