Studio 1 has been fully booked so Micko and Martin has been really busy. The control room is finished and I’m very happy with the results. January 28th, 2011 by TheoMicko has almost finished the frame work of one side of the wall. It’s very exiting to follow the construction step by step. On Monday, Roger will start to paint the back walls of the control room.

We do have some production that we’ve put on hold but with in a week or so we’re up and running again so no worries to those of you who are waiting for your productions, we’ll deliver in time

January 28th, 2011 by TheoToday me and Thomas made the rap up of all the meetings. Almost every meeting has possible collaborations and business opportunities that we have to consider so we have a lot to do . It’s various interest from licensing in our artist to song pitching, song requests and co-write camps and even label deals. Also requests of using our production and mixing skills for other artists and projects. Our in house writer and arranger, Martin Svensson is already put to work to make string arrangements for a major Japanese label and one of their artist, the fruit of a Midem meeting ! Today we also revived an interest form a international manager that wants to discuss our artist THREE for international exploitation. We’ll start the follow up first thing on Monday.

January 27th, 2011 by TheoI’m back in Sweden and it’s cold brr…………. We’re very happy with this years Midem. Tomorrow me and Thomas will have a rap up of all the meetings so we can make the follow up asap, more later. During my stay in Cannes my handyman’s Micko and Roger has started to rebuild the control room in Studio 1. The biggest change, this first step, is to build a new wall where all the monitors will be placed.

January 25th, 2011 by TheoWell, yesterday and today was really hectic with many good meetings. We’ve received good interest from a major indy company for South Africa which we’re very happy about. Also a company from Australia wants represent us, our artists and songwriters for their market. We also meet with our partenrs and various companies from Korea, Japan, Canada, USA and of course Europe with possible collaborations on various projects. Overall it’s a very good Midem for Roastinghouse so please check our news roll on our web site for more info soon. Tonight we’ll have dinner with the reps from BMG Rights Management which we signed with last Midem.

January 24th, 2011 by TheoSaturday night with had a nice dinner with the folks from the publishing company, The Kennel. Great storries from the legendary longtimer, Stiggy. The same night was the NRJ awards but we didn’t go. Sunday was the first day of the fair and we had very good meetings with great outcomes, more later.

January 22nd, 2011 by TheoI’m blogging from Cannes in France. I’m at the MIDEM fair which is the biggest music event of the year. Many meetings are booked with professionals from all over the world and we’ll also have our label meetings with our partners fron China, Japan and Germany to make plans for 2011 and 2012. Even if the doesn’t start until Sunday I’ve already meet some people, Peter Jenner (former manager of Pink Floyd) and we discussed our label deal in China. Peter is an expert on the Asian market from his western point of view. Tonight we have a “get together” event with all the Nordic countries and after that we have a “private” dinner with partners and friends.

It’s been full of activities and Micko has finished the recording of STONEKILLERS album. Before the mix down Micko will make all the edting. The band, INEPT MADNESS has recorded two songs with Micko in charge, sounds great.
