Bobby Farrell

BOBBY FARRELL is the name of the man who played a decisive role in building up Boney M’s image. He grew up on the small Island of Aruba, where he was born on 6.10.1949. After finishing school he decided to be a sailor and travelled the oceans for two years before he went on land in Norway. From Norway he went to Holland with the dream to become a famous entertainer.

But besides Bobby’s charismatic looks and what he learned out at sea, he had nothing to offer except his own style. Bobby got a job as a DJ  before he got a offer in Germany where he finally settled down. It did not take long before he was discovered to audition for the group Boney M. It was his unique dance style and looks,  which had an electrifying effect on people that made Bobby the only man member of Boney M and the rest is history.

Today three beautiful girls (Edna Proctor,Maureen Pengel,Jacqueline Jonkers) in dazzling outfits, whilst BOBBY FARRELL parades his bare chest, rev up the audience, reliving old times singing the hits Daddy Cool, Rivers of Babylon, Rasputin, Ma Baker and many more. The music contains elements of gospel, calypso and nursery rhyme. It is this mixture that makes Boney M so enjoyable. Over the years Boney M has accumulated 42 golden, 50 platinum and 50 silver discs. They have sold more than 180 million records worldwide. At the moment, The Boney M Show starring BOBBY FARRELL is touring all over the world.
