Cloudscape

CLOUDSCAPE was formed in 2001 by members Mike Andersson (Lead Vocals), Patrik Svärd (Guitars), Håkan Nyander (Bass) and Fredrik Joakimsson (Drums).

Several demos was recorded and sent out to magazines, webzines and recordlabels. CLOUDSCAPE received great feedback on the underground scene but, it wasn´t until late 2002 when CLOUDSCAPE inked a management deal with Production & management company ROASTINGHOUSE serious things started to happen. ROASTINGHOUSE have daily contacts with many respected record labels around the world so, thanx to their contacts and knowledge CLOUDSCAPE managed to land a deal with German record label METAL HEAVEN and Japanese label MARQUEE/AVALON after receiving lots of proposals from different record labels.

CLOUDSCAPE entered the prestigious ROASTINGHOUSE studios in order to record their self titled debut album in April 2004 produced by Anders “Theo” Theander (Pain Of Salvation, Allen/Lande Project, Planet Alliance) and Pontus Lindmark (Allen/Lande Project, Planet Alliance). The album was completely finished during summer of 2004 and in mid December 2004 it was released all over Asia through MARQUEE/AVALON and in late January 2005 it was released all over Europe through METAL HEAVEN. After celebrating their first official release at THE TIVOLI in Helsingborg CLOUDSCAPE did several live shows in Sweden to promote their debut album and in October 2005 they did their first live show outside of their home country Sweden at PROGPOWER EUROPE in The Netherlands. The feedback and response turned out amazing.

In late December 2005 CLOUDSCAPE entered the ROASTINGHOUSE studio again in order to record their second album entitled CRIMSON SKIES. CRIMSON SKIES was produced by Pontus Lindmark and co-produced by Anders “Theo” Theander. CRIMSON SKIES was completely finished in mid March and was released through METAL HEAVEN all over Europe on June 3. CLOUDSCAPE also signed a licensing deal with U.S label NIGHTMARE RECORDS so, CRIMSON SKIES was released in the U.S on July 4. Just like the debut CRIMSON SKIES recieved fantastic feedback from fans and media. On June 9, 2006 CLOUDSCAPE performed at the big, well respected SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL. In March 2007 CLOUDSCAPE went to the UK in order to perform at PROGPOWER UK and performed at several festivals. In 2008 CLOUDSCAPE released their third album entitled “Global Drama” (Golden Core, Europe and Nightmare Records, USA) which turned out to become a trademark and milestone album for CLOUDSCAPE with it’s interesting variety and unbelievable strong songs and performance.

2011, the work with CLOUDSCAPE forthcoming 4th album entitled “New Era” is now finished! The band offers a strong, melodic album and probably their best to date. NEW ERA was produced by Micko Twedberg, mixed by Micko Twedberg together with Anders “Theo” Theander, mastered by Anders “Theo” Theander, who also is executive producer, all done at ROASTINGHOUSE STUDIOS. The sound is strong, organic and perfect for the songs, and all involved is really eager to present “New Era” to the fans and metal community all over the world.
