April 26th, 2010
RoastingHouse Music signs with BMG Rights Management for a sub-publishing deal exclusively with it’s entire catalogue in Europe. RoastingHouse has tremendous success in Asia and Japan with the biggest Japanese pop acts selling millions of records the past few years which makes them one of the most important international publishers in Japan, but is now expanding and putting their focus to the European market again as well.
“We have been really fortunate to work with the best people in Asia at an early stage which gave us a head start and we are really proud of our writers who continuously provide us with great material to work with and has also developed a great know-how of the Japanese likes and dislikes”, says Thomas Wallén (A&R RoastingHouse)
RoastingHouse have had a few successes in Europe with their songwriter Anderz Wrethov who worked with European successes CHIPZ (NL), Gunther & The Sunshine Girls (SE) and Arash (SE) who also represented Azerbaijan together with Aysel in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 and made it to Top 3.
“Thomas Scherer was introduced to us through our Japanese partner and we hit it off immediately and BMG Rights will be the perfect partner for us in Europe with their strength and vast network. After my meeting with CEO Hartwig Masuch at Midem I got a in-depth look of their vision and I’m really looking forward to this collaboration joining forces with such a innovative and pro-active company”, says Anders “Theo” Theander (MD/Owner RoastingHouse).
RoastingHouse has a team of fantastic producers/writers at their studio complex in Malmö with 9 recording studios, hosting lots of international co-write camps as well as a great catalogue for synch with their bands and artists.
“I am very excited to work with Roastinghouse Music, who live for me “passion for music”. Their writer/producer´s are hungry for new projects and do co-writes in Europe, North America and Asia. We actually started already a global project together with our Japanese Sub Publishing Partner Nichion Inc. The vision is to create a project which fits to the European market as well as for the Japanese market.” says Thomas Scherer (International Repertoire Coordination BMG RM)
